- Floating to additional OR or perioperative areas as needed
- Unit features: 14-bed perioperative unit with extensive multidisciplinary support

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a diverse surgical caseload (orthopedics/spine, neuro, gynecology/urology, vascular, thoracic, general, bariatric, ENT, plastics/microvascular)
- Lead preoperative assessments, patient positioning, intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative recovery support within standard safety and infection control protocols
- Administer medications and blood products as ordered; handle specimens; observe universal protocol and “time-out” processes
- Collaborate with IV/IV team, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Interpretation Services, Unit Secretary, and Transport to ensure safe, efficient care
- Maintain EPIC charting for all perioperative activities; ensure accurate documentation of care, counts, and outcomes
- Participate in on-call coverage as required; respond to emergencies including airway management and rapid response scenarios
- Adhere to unit-specific competencies, including phlebotomy and IV placement as required

Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand
- BLS and CNOR certification required
- EPIC charting experience required
- OR/perioperative nursing experience: 3 years (note: facility compliance may reference 1 year; confirm with facility)
- Travel experience required
- Ability to float to other perioperative or related units as needed
- Mandatory local competencies: phlebotomy and IV placement
- RTO restrictions: cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days of planned time off
- Distance from assignment: candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
