Overleaf Psychotherapy is a growing psychoanalytic/psychodynamic private practice. We currently have 2-3 openings for fee for service clinicians. Openings are for in-person, telehealth only, or hybrid.

Overleaf Psychotherapy is a Manhattan-based practice providing outpatient psychotherapy services to adults, couples, and polycules. We operate using a hybrid insurance-based and direct pay model. We are currently located in two 5th Avenue offices, one north of Madison Park (NoMad), and one near Union Sq/Flatiron. We work with a diverse range of presentations and diagnoses. Our clinical orientation is grounded in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theory, while allowing an eclectic approach, shaped by the interests of the clinician and the needs of the patient. Supervision occurs in weekly small groups.

Application requirements:

• Must be a graduate of mental health counseling or social work master's degree program. Recent graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
• Must hold or be imminently eligible to hold an LMSW, MSW-LP or MHC-LP. Other clinical licenses considered.
• Must be required to practice under supervision in NYS - we do not consider applicants with an independent license (LCSW, LMHC).
• Schedule requirements: For Part time hires: schedule requires a minimum 20 scheduled clinical hours. For Full time hires: schedule requires minimum 32 scheduled clinical hours
• Employees must commit to at least 1 evening or weekend shift for a part time schedule, 2 evenings or weekend shifts for full time.
• Applicants and staff therapists may not be employed by other FFS environments concurrently. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Comfortable working independently in a fee-for-service model

Responsibilities include:

• Provide outpatient mental health services to individuals and couples.
• Complete all related documentation in Simple Practice software.
• Collect copays and fees. Employees do not do billing.
• Attend weekly supervision.
• Maintain consistent weekly schedule
• Manage electronic booking calendars in ZocDoc and Google Calendar.
• Follow ethical, professional, and HIPAA-compliant practices

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting pay: $42 per clinical contact hour for in network insurance clients; for cash and out of network insurance clients, compensation is 50% of the amount per session paid by the client.
• Paid supervision included
• Paid in-person office space included
• Occasional partial compensation for participating in recommended trainings and workshops, offered on a case-by-case basis at the clinical director's discretion
• No additional benefits currently offered
