Funds Transfer Administrator

Location: Midtown Manhattan (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $30 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Funds Transfer Administrator to play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of domestic and international payment operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced team within a global commercial banking environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Process, verify, and release domestic and international wire payments and book transfers in accordance with established policies and regulatory standards.
- Execute pre-payment funds approval to ensure accuracy and mitigate risk.
- Monitor and manage all aspects of payment processing including repairs, approvals, SWIFT messaging, fraud detection, and risk-related investigations.
- Maintain strict compliance with all internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve returned or rejected payment transactions from prior business days.
- Conduct detailed research and analysis for wire transfer investigations on behalf of clients and internal departments.
- Provide exceptional support and service to internal stakeholders across banking units.
- Escalate operational and system issues directly to the First Vice President as needed.
- Perform end-of-day balancing and routine system maintenance to ensure data integrity.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery processes and related business continuity protocols.
- Contribute to special projects and assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Report directly to the Operations Manager to ensure transparency and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in funds transfer operations, with deep knowledge of Fedwire, CHIPS, and SWIFT systems.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of precision and compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; thrives in dynamic, team-oriented environments.
- Excellent communication abilities—both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Spanish language skills are a plus, though not required.
