Key Job Details – ER RN Travel Assignment

• Location: Potsdam, NY 13676 (Upstate New York nursing jobs)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090–$2,150
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour days (12:00 PM – 12:00 AM), 36 or 48 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per 4-week schedule)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Unit: Emergency Room (Level III Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center)
• Charting System: EPIC
• Orientation: 24 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility (travel nursing requirement)
• Experience in both adult and pediatric emergency care
• Preferred: CPI, TCAR, Level I/II Trauma experience

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced ER setting
• Assess, triage, and manage patients with acute and emergent conditions: trauma, stroke, cardiac, respiratory, and behavioral health emergencies
• Perform interventions including IV starts, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line care, and continuous IV sedation
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, multisystem organ dysfunction, and neuro-trauma cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC
• Participate in ongoing education and orientation modules
