Paving Laborers
Construction Trades Staffing has an exciting opportunity with a site development and paving contractor located in Elma, NY. A Site Manager plays a pivotal role in managing and executing construction projects from start to finish.
Their responsibilities include:
Overseeing and Directing Construction Projects:
- Supervising construction projects from conception to completion.
- Reviewing projects in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
Coordinating and Supervising Construction Workers:
- Selecting tools and materials.
- Ordering and purchasing materials appropriately.
Ensuring Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:
- Reporting any issues related to health and safety.
- Managing the use of construction equipment and machinery.
Problem-Solving and Communication:
- Resolving problems and implementing improvements in construction processes.
- Maintaining communication between project managers, site staff, and clients.
- Must be able to work in the field with their staff
Candidates for Site Manager positions typically need:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Proven work experience in construction management or a similar role.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
- Familiarity with construction and project management software.
- Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) can be advantageous.
- Must have previous Site and Asphalt experience
- Must have a CDL license with a up to date DOT physical
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role.
