Key Responsibilities of the RN - Home Health - Travel

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals
• Provide direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
• Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, interpreting and recording measurements
• Monitor patients' vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner
• Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team
• Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care
• Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records
• Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols

Requirements of the RN - Home Health - Travel

• New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification
• AHA BLS certification
• Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute
• Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital or post-acute facility
• Experience in home care and physical assessment
• Skills in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, post-operative care, patient education, and telemetry monitoring
• EPIC EMR experience and knowledge of OASIS preferred
