Job Opening: School Psychologist / Special Education Coordinator
Location: The Treehouse Child Care Center, Watertown, NY
Position Type: Full-Time (Flexible Hours Considered)
Start Date: August 2025

Position Summary:
The School Psychologist / Special Education Coordinator will support the educational and developmental success of preschool-aged children with special needs. This role includes conducting evaluations, supporting IEP development and implementation, coordinating special education services, and leading the integration of inclusive practices throughout the program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental and psychological evaluations for preschool-aged children
• Participate in CPSE meetings and collaborate with school districts and families
  
• Coordinate the implementation of IEPs and progress monitoring in integrated classrooms
• Serve as liaison between teaching staff, related service providers, and families
  
• Oversee compliance through theCPSE process, to include attending CPSE meetings
  
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that values equity and individual needs

Qualifications:

• NYS Certification as a School Psychologist
• Experience with CPSE, early intervention, or preschool special education required
• Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and NYSED regulations preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills
• A passion for early childhood education and inclusive practices
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
