We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior BSA Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in collecting, aggregating, and analyzing large datasets to uncover meaningful insights that drive business decisions. This role requires expertise in identifying trends, evaluating changes, and communicating findings effectively through both written reports and graphical tools. The Senior Data Analyst will sit within the BSA department and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven analysis
The salary range is between $90k- $100k annually.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection & Aggregation:
- Gather, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources.
- Work with internal and external data systems to collect relevant information for analysis.
- Data Analysis & Trend Identification:
- Apply advanced statistical methods and techniques to analyze large datasets.
- Identify key patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies within data sets.
- Evaluate historical and current data to assess changes and predict future trends.
- Reporting & Presentation:
- Develop clear, concise reports and dashboards to communicate analytical findings.
- Use visual tools (e.g., graphs, charts, and data visualizations) to present results in an easily interpretable format.
- Present findings to stakeholders in written, verbal or graphical formats, adjusting the communication style based on the audience (technical and non-technical).
- Software Utilization & Data Synthesis:
- Leverage analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Python, or other relevant software to extract, clean, and analyze data.
- Experience building complex SQL statements and working knowledge of database platforms such as Oracle and Teradata.
- Synthesize complex data sets into actionable insights and provide recommendations for business improvements.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Interaction:
- Work closely with business leaders, project managers, and other teams to understand data needs and objectives.
- Support decision-making processes through data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data analytics tools and techniques.
- Provide insights and strategies for improving data collection, processing, and analysis methodologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Financial Crimes or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis or a similar analytical role.
- Proven expertise in data collection, aggregation, and cleaning processes.
- Strong proficiency in tools such as SAS , SQL , R , and other data analysis software.
- Excellent knowledge of statistical methods and data modeling techniques.
- Experience in creating and presenting data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into understandable insights for stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience with machine learning or advanced analytics is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions or big data technologies.
- Familiarity with transaction monitoring software, such as Abrigo or Actimize.
- Ability to handle large-scale data sets efficiently and effectively.
- Financial Crimes Experience is a strong plus.
- Professional certifications are a plus.
