CSS Pharmacy – Bronx, NY

CSS Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our retail pharmacy

team in the Bronx. This role supports pharmacists with prescription processing, medication preparation,

patient service, inventory tasks, and general pharmacy operations.

The ideal candidate has retail pharmacy experience, strong customer service skills, a team-oriented

mindset, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced healthcare environment. CSS Pharmacy is looking

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with preparing medications for patients.
• Collect information from patients and healthcare professionals.
• Review prescriptions for completeness and assist with electronic prescription processing.
• Process prescriptions and insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
• Measure, package, label, and prepare medications for dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist patients by answering general questions and helping resolve service-related issues promptly.
• Support patient education by directing medication-related questions to the pharmacist as
• appropriate.
• Maintain patient medication profiles and pharmacy records.
• Help ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and pharmacy policies.
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and check for expired medications.
• Ensure medications are properly stored and pharmacy areas are clean and organized.
• Clean equipment, shelves, counters, and work areas.
• Train new colleagues as assigned.
• Assist as a cashier when needed.
• Perform administrative and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience required.
• Experience with Micro Merchant / PrimeRx is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, move quickly between tasks, and maintain focus for
• extended periods.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and interest in growing with the company.

Language Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in English is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is required for this patient-facing role due to regular communication with Spanish-speaking patients.

Schedule

• Weekday availability required.
• Weekend and some holiday availability required.
