Program Coordinator-Hillel
- Plan, coordinate, and implement a robust calendar of programs including Shabbat dinners, Jewish holidays, wellness activities, and leadership development events.
- Work closely with students, staff, and community partners to ensure programs run smoothly—from concept to execution, including logistics, setup, registration, and follow-up.
- Support and mentor student leaders in developing and leading their own programs.
- Collaborate with the Director to develop and execute an annual engagement and programming strategy that aligns with Hillel’s mission.
- Manage special events and experiences such as guest speakers, social gatherings, and collaborative programs with other departments or organizations.
- Oversee recruitment for Birthright Israel and other travel opportunities.
- Build personal relationships with students to ensure they feel welcomed, supported, and connected to Jewish life on campus.
- Engage students through one-on-one conversations, tabling, and outreach to include those less involved in Jewish life.
- Collaborate with Hillel’s Young Leadership Program to connect students with post-graduation opportunities and young adult engagement.
- Cultivate partnerships on and off campus to strengthen programming and engagement.
- Serve as a visible and approachable Jewish role model.
- Assist with day-to-day office operations including scheduling, communication, data entry, and supply management.
- Track attendance and engagement data in HEART and other systems.
- Maintain updated contact lists and communication with students, alumni, parents, and partners.
- Support marketing and social media efforts by creating flyers, updating the website, and promoting events online.
- Provide administrative support to the Director and Executive Director as needed, including assistance with board materials, fundraising projects, and event logistics.
- Supervise student interns, workers, and the student board.
- Attend trainings, workshops, and conferences as needed.
- Seek out opportunities for personal and professional Jewish growth.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Comfort and familiarity with Jewish traditions, holidays, and culture.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 (commensurate with experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week; including weekends as needed.
