Position Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Rochester, NY

Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel

Shift: Mid Shift (12×3) | 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Duration: 13-Week Assignment

Hourly Pay: $53 to $57/hr

Weekly Pay: $1,908 to $2,052/week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse - Emergency Room for an exciting Travel or Local job in Rochester, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients.

• Perform rapid assessment, triage, and stabilization of patients with life-threatening or complex conditions.

• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and administer appropriate interventions.

• Administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, paralytics, and sedatives per provider orders.

• Manage patients requiring continuous IV infusions, sedation, or mechanical support.

• Administer blood products and perform central line care and management.

• Initiate and maintain IV lines; perform phlebotomy as required.

• Monitor and document patient status accurately in the Epic charting system.

• Provide care to patients experiencing multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.

• Adhere to infection control and isolation precaution protocols.

• Float to other units as required based on census and staffing needs.

• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience required.

• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.

• Active and unrestricted New York RN license (pending licenses not accepted).

• Experience with Epic charting preferred.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including every other weekend.

• Must be willing to float when census warrants.

• Minimal requested time off (RTO) preferred.
