Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and clinical services to inpatient psychiatric patients on an individual basis, including daily living activities, social and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the RN
- Communicate effectively with patients and ensure access to required services; escalate changes in patient status to the RN
- Participate in rounds and group therapy as needed; support safety and therapeutic milieu on the unit
- Assist with documentation and ensure accurate, timely updates to the care plan under supervision
- Support the RN and interdisciplinary team with discharge planning, activity facilitation, and crisis de-escalation as appropriate

Requirements
- 2 years of recent experience as a psychiatric technician or in a similar inpatient psychiatric setting
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Associate of Arts/Associate of Science degree in psychology or sociology
- Experience working with children/adolescents aged 8 to 18
- Ability to work in an inpatient psychiatric unit with rotating 12-hour shifts, including on-call and call-back as required
