SVP, Digital and Social Strategy
Syneos Health is seeking a senior-level Digital and Social Media Strategist for our Digital and Social Strategy (DSS) team. This leader will define the vision and strategic direction across a portfolio of high-profile accounts, serve as the senior-most digital authority for key client relationships, and partner with agency leadership to drive growth, innovation, and thought leadership in an increasingly complex and regulated healthcare landscape.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the executive digital and social lead across a portfolio of high-profile healthcare and pharmaceutical clients, setting enterprise-level strategy and driving transformational engagement models.

- Translate complex business objectives into integrated, omnichannel digital ecosystems that fuel brand growth, deepen stakeholder engagement, and deliver measurable impact.
- Provide executive-level strategic counsel informed by market intelligence, audience analytics, competitive insights, and performance data to guide investment and decision-making.
- Identify whitespace opportunities and drive organic growth through expanded digital capabilities, innovation pilots, emerging technologies, and scaled omnichannel programming.
- Lead digital strategy for new business and partner with account leadership to scope and commercialize incremental initiatives that expand revenue and client partnerships.
- Oversee cross-functional collaboration across strategy, creative, paid media, analytics, and account teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact digital programs.
- Direct integrated content strategies, editorial roadmaps, and paid social programs to ensure alignment with brand voice, regulatory standards, audience needs, and ROI objectives.
- Proactively monitor digital, platform, cultural, and healthcare industry trends to keep clients and internal teams ahead of innovation and regulatory shifts.
- Translate complex analytics and engagement data into executive-ready insights and actionable recommendations that drive continuous optimization and business impact.
- Mentor and develop team members while advancing Digital & Social Strategy frameworks, operational excellence, cross-agency integration, and innovation adoption.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience (including healthcare/pharma experience) as a senior leader in a similar practice, group, or function
- Knowledge of and experience with the rules and regulations that govern pharma marketing
- Strong ability to deliver persuasive, evidence-based counsel that wins over C-suite executives who have limited time
- Comfort working in cross-functional teams and interacting with different people on a daily basis (including clients)
- Experience developing digital/social content and assets, with knowledge of individual social platforms and their requirements (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X)
- Experience in website development process and/or project management a plus
- Experience implementing and managing paid social media campaigns a plus
- Experience with social platform promotion and metrics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, X Insights, X Ads, etc.)
- Experience with generative AI tools is a plus but not a requirement.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $200K to $230K. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
