CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Hospital – Level 1 Trauma Center
• Employment Type: Travel CT Technologist
• Assignment Length: 17 weeks
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: January 17, 2026
• Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 7:00pm to 7:30am (12-hour overnight shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-call/Holiday Coverage: As required by unit

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• Valid New York State CT Technologist license (must be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• Prior experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• At least 6 months of experience with Siemens CT scanners
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred
• Injection certification preferred (or willingness to complete during orientation)
• Familiarity with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude
• Collaborative team player with a commitment to clinical excellence

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and exam details before scans, following strict patient safety and hospital protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging
• Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring comfort and safety, especially for those with limited mobility
• Insert IVs for contrast studies as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records in Epic EMR; ensure images are properly labeled and transferred to PACS
• Keep the CT suite clean and compliant with safety standards
• Participate in on-call and callback coverage as required
