About the Role

Overview

Staff accountants must possess strong time management and analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Strong technology skills are critical, particularly expertise with Microsoft Excel.

Position is 100% non-remote, i.e. candidate must be able to commute to NY Office

Duties

• Reviewing general ledger accounts
• preparing and adjusting journal entries
• Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
• Maintaining general ledger charts of accounts
• Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals

Skills

Degree in Accounting from an accredited university required.

Knowledge using various accounting and financial systems; strong excel skill.

Minimum 2 years working in accounting position.

Knowledge of insurance preferred.
