Associate designer

HumanHire is partnered with a leading global apparel and accessories designer and licensor in their search for an Associate Designer, Menswear to join their office in NYC.

The Associate Designer, Menswear will be responsible for leading the entire design process from conception to delivery for seasonal product lines.

We are seeking candidates with 2-3+ years of menswear design experience to join their growing team!

• Compensation: Up to $75,000 per year

Associate Designer, Menswear Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and design seasonal product lines (woven tops, bottoms, swim, prints) in line with market trends and brand strategy
• Conduct trend research and generate inspiration to guide design decisions
• Create detailed sketches, 3D CAD designs, and tech packs for new and carryover styles
• Collaborate with the Design Director to guide fabric and print development
• Partner with merchandising and product development teams to ensure samples are production-ready
• Present concepts and collections in internal meetings to gain alignment and approval
• Maintain knowledge of woven fabrics, color palettes, and contemporary design standards
• Utilize Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D design tools to execute designs accurately

Associate Designer, Menswear Qualifications:

• 2-3+ years of menswear design required
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field required
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills; ability to multitask
• Strong research and design skills; high level of creativity with refined aesthetic judgement
