Executive Assistant / Office Administrator for Christian Church in New York City

Location: The Journey Church NYC (on site in Manhattan)

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $24/hour ($50,000-55,000 per year)

Education: Bacholers Preferred

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday (occasional evenings required)

About Us:

The Journey is a young, growing, contemporary church in New York City (Manhattan) with the mission of helping people become fully developing followers of Jesus. The Journey has multiple in-person services each week as well as Church Online and we're looking to expand our team with somone who shares our vision.

About the Role:

We are looking for an energetic, upbeat person with strong administrative gifts to serve on staff as an Office Administrator / Executive Assistant to our pastoral staff with focus on our Growth Groups and Ministry areas. The position would be Monday-Thursday in the office with some evenings required. And then all-day Sundays both assisting the team at the church service and in the office afterwards.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include calling and scheduling volunteers, database management and reports, managing expense reports, email communication, working with volunteers on Sundays, overseeing the printing and preparation of Sunday materials, assisting in the planning of special events, working directly with our Groups and Ministry Pastors and more.

  • Knowledge of Word and Excel a must
  • Ability to work with other design programs (Microsoft Publisher, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, etc.) a plus, but not a requirement
  • Undergrad degree plus previous experience in the field is required
  • Desire to make a real difference while working in a church
