Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Care

Location: New York, NY 10004

Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks

Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday

Hours: 40 hours/week | 8 hours/day

Shift Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation

• Local Pay: $78/hour

• Traveler Pay: $85/hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Care to provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in acute and post-acute clinical settings. The RN will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to adult patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

• Deliver direct bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgical adult patients

• Safely prepare, administer, and document medications

• Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter insertions, and IV therapy

• Monitor vital signs and promptly report changes in patient condition

• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment

• Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning

• Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and post-discharge care

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

• Adhere to established nursing standards, protocols, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital

• Recent experience (within the past year) in acute or post-acute care settings

• Strong physical assessment and patient monitoring skills

• Medication administration proficiency

• Wound care and infection control experience

• IV therapy and post-operative care experience

• Patient and family education

• Telemetry monitoring experience

Education

Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program

Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN License

• Primary Source Verification of RN license (NYSED)

• AHA BLS Certification

• AHA ACLS (required for Queens assignments, if applicable)
