Physical Therapist - School Based

The caseload for this opportunity is located at one site, primarily pre-k through 12, but dependent on assignment. If you love working with kids and making an impact in the community, this could be the perfect role for you.

Overview:

• Setting: in-person, school
• Schedule: M - F
• $80/hour+ for qualified PTs
• Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of students' medical histories and physical conditions to develop an understanding of their needs and limitations
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on the assessment findings, taking into account the patient's goals, lifestyle, and any existing medical conditions
• Administer physical therapy interventions, which may include exercises, manual therapy, therapeutic modalities (e.g., heat or cold therapy), and assistive devices
• Attend school meetings and IEPs
• Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines outlined by relevant healthcare regulatory bodies

Qualifications:

• NY state PT license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Pediatric PT Experience
• Current two-step PPD
• State and contract-specific compliance requirements
