HR Specialist
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Human Resource Specialist for a mission driven nonprofit organization. This individual will support core HR functions including employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations. The role is a dual function position requiring strong administrative skills and hands on HR coordination, particularly around entry level recruiting and employee support. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid level HR professional looking to grow within a collaborative environment while being supported by an established HR team. The position begins as a contract with a planned transition to full time and offers long term career growth within a values driven organization.
Day to Day

Support core HR operations across the organization
-
Act as an HR Coordinator, recruiting for entry level Direct Support Professionals

Assist with employee relations, grievances, investigations, and disciplinary meetings
-
Administer FMLA, disability, and workers' compensation cases
-
Assist with benefits research, rollout, and administration (health, life, 401k)

Support payroll-related tasks and coordination

Help implement HR policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives

Assist with performance management and appraisal processes

Coordinate training and internal development programs

Partner closely with HR Director, HR Generalist and Admin Assistant

Help plan and support internal employee events

Skills and Requirements

1-2+ years of Human Resources experience
-
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field

Strong administrative skills; ability to handle day to day HR admin tasks

Experience with employee relations and disciplinary processes

Exposure to FMLA, benefits administration, and compliance basics

Basic recruiting experience
-
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and neutrality

Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Experience supporting payroll processes

SHRM certification
-
Knowledge of HR systems/databases

Nonprofit experience

Experience planning or supporting internal employee events
