What You'll Be Doing:

Provide Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations to accurately diagnose mental disorders.
Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans and prescribe medication as needed.
Offer Ongoing Pharmacologic Treatment: Provide ongoing medication management and monitoring.
Monitor Patient Progress: Regularly follow up with patients to check progress and adjust treatment plans.
Document Thoroughly: Maintain detailed records of patient diagnoses, symptoms, medication, and treatment effectiveness.
Offer Emotional Support: Provide patients with emotional support and strategies to manage their mental health.
Stay Up-to-Date: Research new developments in psychiatry and mental health.
Collaborate with the Team: Participate in incident reviews, treatment planning, and case conferences as needed.

What We're Looking For:

Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine from an accredited medical school.
Psychiatric Experience: Minimum 3 years of psychiatric experience under supervision in a residency program.
Licensure and Certification: NYS Board of Psychiatry certification and license, and current DEA registration.
Diagnostic Skills: Expert diagnostic skills and excellent knowledge of current DSM criteria.
Crisis Assessment: Familiarity with crisis assessment tools and techniques.
Psychiatric Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Shift and Schedule:

Flexible scheduling options, including 4-hour and 8-hour shifts.
Day, evening, and night shifts available.
Weekends as needed.
