Health & Safety Manager, Non-Industrial

Pernod Ricard USA, LLC
New York, NY

Where Conviviality is at work.

Pernod Ricard is a global premium spirits and wine company. We’re the team behind leading brands such as ABSOLUT® Vodka, Jameson® Irish Whiskey, Malibu®, Kahlúa® Liqueur, The Glenlivet® Gin, and Skrewball™ whiskey, as well as many more superior wines and exquisite champagnes!

Working at Pernod Ricard is all about igniting conviviality in all that we do. Derived from the French word, convivialité…it means human connection, authenticity, friendly, and jovial. Conviviality is energy and spirit with a splash of je ne sais quoi and is a core philosophy around how we live and work at Pernod Ricard.

Guided by our 4 core values: (1) grounded in the real; (2) fiercely authentic; (3) passion for challenge; and (4) connected beyond borders; we are team players, dream makers, trailblazers, movers and (cocktail) shakers. We have a passion for living life to the fullest, making new friends every day, and realizing our potential as people and as a business!

The salary range for this role, based in New York, is $101,376.00 to $126,720.00. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Job Summary:
The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all Pernod Ricard North America (PRNA) non-industrial employees. This person leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health & Safety (H&S) programs, policies, and practices to ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) requirements. This role is critical to advancing Pernod Ricard’s priorities around safety, employee engagement, and overall wellbeing, while fostering a strong safety culture across a geographically dispersed organization.

Who will love this job:
You are a proactive health and safety leader who is passionate about building a culture of wellbeing, accountability, and prevention. You enjoy influencing without authority, partnering across functions, and translating global standards into practical, local execution. You thrive in structured, KPI-driven environments and feel confident engaging employees at all levels—from frontline teams to senior executives—across a geographically dispersed organization.

What you’ll do:

Health & Safety Roadmap & Governance

  • Lead and implement the PR Global non-industrial H&S operating requirements across North America, including risk assessments, ergonomics, driving safety, contractors and visitors, electrical safety, and internal and external events.

  • Own the North America H&S roadmap and LIFE Assessment action plan, providing monthly updates to the North American Executive Team and regular performance updates to PRNA Leadership.

  • Lead the monthly North America H&S Committee and partner with local H&S Coordinators/Champions to ensure consistent execution and accountability.

  • Track and report key safety performance indicators, including Lost Time Accidents (LTAs), Care Tours, and Care Visits.

  • Drive advocacy and engagement around a strong safety culture and wellbeing mindset across the organization.

Training & Awareness

  • Implement, track, and adapt Global mandatory Care by Learning (H&S) training programs to meet local business needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as the PRNA non-industrial lead for Global H&S trainings, programs, and initiatives.

  • Lead the annual H&S & Wellbeing Day/Week, partnering with internal stakeholders to drive awareness and participation.

  • Continuously evolve H&S programs, processes, and reporting to reflect new requirements, risks, and best practices.

Health & Safety Communications

  • Partner with the Communications team to plan and deliver targeted H&S campaigns that reinforce awareness, compliance, and a culture of prevention.

Incident Reporting & Data Analysis

  • Own the incident management and reporting system (Intelex), ensuring accurate, timely reporting of lost time incidents, near misses, and first aid cases.

  • Lead incident investigations in partnership with local site contacts, including data gathering, root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and follow-up.

  • Produce monthly Intelex reports covering incidents, care visits, tours, and network action items, sharing insights with leadership and Global teams as required.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to manage Workers’ Compensation claims related to workplace incidents.

  • Risk Assessment

  • Lead comprehensive risk assessments across offices, sales teams, brand homes, visitor centers, and events, ensuring mitigation plans are implemented and tracked.
