2026 Guardian Summer Intern, Cybersecurity Governance Our 2026 Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our offices. This 10-week internship provides you with realistic experiences and information of what it is like to work at Guardian. Internship Dates The internship program will run from Thursday, May 28, 2026 - Friday, August 7, 2026 . You Are A rising senior (graduation date of May 2027) who is fueled by collaboration, able to listen and make quick decisions and thrive in a goal-oriented environment. - A desire to learn and participate in an information security program
- The ability to solve problems in an environment with frequent interruptions, changing priorities, and deadlines
- Excellent presentation, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- A background in information security (desired but not required)
- Assist the team performing security and risk engagements on projects - driving requirements, control design, risk assessments, and mitigations
- Participate and engage in incorporating security requirements and controls on project engagements
- Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and updating of security and compliance processes, procedures, and standards
- Help create and apply process flows and metrics to better define, measure, improve, analyze, and control security/privacy processes
- Help ensure compliance with HIPAA, GLBA, PCI, MAR, and other regulatory requirements
- Have the opportunity to work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors and team members across the organization who will help coach you as you develop your professional career
- Learn about Guardian's purpose, values, how we work, and our suite of product and service offerings
- Build a network of colleagues and have a sense of community with other interns and other parts of the business
