Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
Status : Part Time 7.5 hr Shift: VARIED SHIFT Department: Outpatient Dialysis Position Summary Summary: The Medical Secretary provides prompt, friendly, helpful and accurate administrative functions in the clinical area. The functions include but are not limited to: patient scheduling, operations, patient billing, medical records, and clerical, coordinating with Transplantation centers. Qualifications Responsibilities: Education Required- Must complete in-house orientation program
- High School diploma or equivalent, Business School and/or some college preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- PC literate with word processing skills, Microsoft Word required and Excel preferred.
- Experienced in the use of FAX, copier, and typewriter, PC.
- Personable telephone and reception skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- Assists patients into and out of the treatment area, utilizing a wheelchair at times.
- Sitting, computer use for extended periods of time.
