Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of AVP Member Support Services. Primary Function: responsible for driving operational execution while ensuring quality member service, profitcapability, security, and compliance with all Credit Union policies and procedures. Provides strategic leadership abilities to the Member Support Department. With direction from the VP, Support Services, collaborates with internal departments and vendors in driving program profitcapability. Leads staff in the analysis and recommendation of changes to improve member service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

»Manage the operations of the Member Support Department. Ensure timely, efficient and accurate processing of member transactions.

»Manage vendor relationships and maintain a thorough and current expertise of Federal, State and industry regulations, to ensure compliance and quality member service.

»Interpret federal, state and industry regulations, to analyze their impact on existing policies, procedures and member service and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

»Plan for and analyze gaps and trends and influence direction with business partners. Build cohesive relationships across all business lines and drive change.

»Manage products and services and participate in development projects to meet organizational initiatives and ensure significant industry changes/ trends, regulatory risks are addressed.

»Responsible for compiling, analyzing, preparing and reporting metrics, results, team development and operational/financial/statistical data to all levels within the organization.

»Responsible for ensuring staffing needs through recruiting, employee development and engagement. Accountable for delegating and directing employees effectively. Ensure the establishment and execution of individual and team goals related to business operations.

»Create department budget by recommending expenditures including staffing, capital expenditures and operating expenses. Monitor expenditures, analyze variances, adhere to approved department budget and advise VP, Support Services of actions implemented.

»Maintain superior expertise of the variety of products, guidelines and services offered and attend meetings and training programs as required by the Credit Union in order to maintain this level of practice and expertise.

»Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained expertise. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

»Embrace and apply HVCU's guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. Support the Credit Union's initiatives by demonstrating teamwork and professionalism.

»Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.

Qualifications

»Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years equivalent practice for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of practice finance or a related field required

»Minimum 3 Years banking or credit union practice practice required

»Minimum 3 Years management or leadership abilities practice practice required

»Minimum 2 Years financial regulatory requirements and compliance related to deposit accounts and record retention practice preferred
