Our client is seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee and optimize the daily operations of their Woodside, NY and Boonton, New Jersey restoration service locations. The ideal candidate is a proven operations leader with experience managing multi-location businesses, leading cross-functional teams, and driving financial performance. Restoration experience is not required—but a strong background in operational leadership, financial management, and organizational scaling is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

• Provide day-to-day leadership and management of both locations.
• Translate the owner’s vision into operational strategies that scale.
• Oversee and align field operations, administrative support, and project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Team Management:

• Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing operational teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration.
• Mentor managers and supervisors across both locations to build internal leadership.

Financial & KPI Management:

• Own the operational P&L and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all departments.
• Partner with ownership to identify growth opportunities and ensure profitability.

Strategic Execution:

• Optimize workflows, scheduling, job progress, and resource allocation.
• Implement systems, processes, and SOPs to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Lead special initiatives including expansion projects or new service lines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and HR to align efforts with company goals.
• Represent the company in community and vendor partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with franchise standards and operational guidelines.

Qualifications

Required:

• 7+ years of senior operational leadership (COO, Director of Ops, GM, etc.).
• Proven experience managing multi-site operations.
• Strong financial acumen—P&L management, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Experience building and scaling teams in a service-based industry.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in construction, property services, franchising, or field service industries.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, or related field.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary $150,000 to $200,000 DOE + Performance Bonus.
