The Position

Wilson Elser is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a specialist team serving the accounting and financial services industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a caseload of professional liability defense and commercial disputes.
  • Represent clients in civil defense litigation claims and regulatory matters
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and Partners on legal projects
  • Handle court appearances and conduct depositions regularly
  • Maintain client communication and provide detailed status updates

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in the State of New York
• CPA or BA or BS degree in Accounting, preferred
• 2+ years of defense/commercial litigation experience (experience with accounting practices, public accounting and/or CPA firms preferred)
• Knowledge of electronic digital documentation and e-discovery matters, a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Caseware, Pro SystemsFX and various other accounting-based software

A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Pay Range $125,000 - $175,000 USD
