Duties Description The New York State Senate is seeking applications for a motivated, organized and detail oriented individual to fill a position in our Personnel Office. The professional for this role will be responsible for creating a positive environment for our employees, both in person and over the phone.Responsibilities in this dynamic role include (but not limited to):-Advising employees on all benefit issues related to health insurance, life insurance, retirement, long term disability, deferred compensation, dental and vision care coverage.-Acting as a liaison between employees and NYS Department of Civil Service, NYS Employees' Retirement System, NYS Deferred Compensation Plan, Davis Vision Care Plan and numerous Health Insurance carriers.-Ensure enrollment and changes to all benefits are processed timely and accurately using two enrollment systems.-Resolve claim issues with all benefit carriers.-Prepare correspondence on behalf of employees.-Advocate and provide support for employees in matters that are highly personal and confidential.

Minimum Qualifications To move forward, you must have:-An associate's degree or higher-Experience working in a Personnel Office setting-Excellent communication skills-A strong attention to detail-Ability to be a team playerThe most qualified candidates will have experience with:-Health Benefits Administration (HBA)-New York Benefits Eligibility and Accounting System (NYBEAS)-New York State & Local Retirement System (NYSLRS - online)
