Overview
A UHNW family in East Hampton is seeking an experienced, highly professional Estate Manager to oversee the full-time management of their estate. This role offers the option of private housing in a separate residence near the property, though living on-site is not required.
The ideal candidate is polished, discreet, and service-oriented, with prior experience working in UHNW households or family office environments. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards across the property while also providing hands-on support as needed. A warm, approachable demeanor paired with strong leadership and operational skills is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Estate & Household Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the estate, ensuring seamless functionality at all times
- Supervise household staff and ensure schedules, standards, and performance are maintained
- Develop, manage, and monitor household budgets and expenses
- Maintain household systems, manuals, and operational procedures
Vendor & Property Oversight
- Source, vet, and manage high-quality vendors and service providers
- Negotiate contracts and ensure favorable terms and performance
- Coordinate all maintenance, repairs, and property projects
- Ensure the estate is always guest-ready and maintained to the highest standards
Administrative & Personal Support
- Handle errands and ad hoc requests with efficiency and discretion
- Assist principals with scheduling, logistics, and general household coordination
- Anticipate needs and proactively address issues before they arise
Pet Care & Driving
- Oversee care for family pets, including scheduling and transport to appointments
- Provide driving support as needed
Travel & Seasonal Support
- Coordinate property readiness for arrivals and departures
- Travel with the family as needed or oversee operations remotely during travel periods
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in estate management within UHNW households
- Prior family office experience strongly preferred
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and vendor contracts
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Highly discreet, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
- Professional, polished, and service-minded with a warm personality
- Flexible and adaptable with a “no task too big or small” approach
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
