Phlebotomist - Night Shift

Leading Westchester hospital seeks a full time Phlebotomist for the Night Shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection using appropriate techniques for patients of all ages
• Accurately label, process, and transport specimens according to established protocols
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards and universal precautions
• Utilize laboratory and hospital information systems efficiently and accurately
• Maintain adequate inventory and organization of phlebotomy supplies
• Provide professional and compassionate patient interaction at all times
• Prioritize workload and work independently when necessary
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and laboratory information
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and competency assessments
• Cross-train in additional laboratory and accessioning functions as needed
• Provide information and assistance to pre-operative patients when applicable
• Communicate issues or concerns to leadership appropriately
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• A minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred

Schedule

• Sun-Thu 11P-7A

Salary Range

• $40,000 - $61,000
