Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional Facility
Location: Marcy, NY
Assignment Type: Contract (26 Weeks)
Shift: Night | 5x8-Hour (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Schedule: 5 Days per Week | 40 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: $52.00 – $58.00 per hour

Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional Facility  for an exciting job in Marcy, NY.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and maintain accurate health documentation.

• Administer prescribed medications and perform nursing procedures according to established protocols.

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans in coordination with healthcare teams.

• Supervise and support direct care staff in completing assigned tasks safely and effectively.

• Monitor and document patient conditions, including responses to medications and treatments.

• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to review and enhance patient care strategies.

• Educate patients on health maintenance, infection control, and wellness practices.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Ensure availability and proper management of medical supplies and equipment.

• Provide leadership and oversight during assigned shifts as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State .

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (correctional, psychiatric, or acute care preferred).

• Current BLS certification (AHA) .

• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient management skills.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in correctional or forensic nursing .

• Knowledge of infection control and emergency response protocols .

• Excellent communication and critical-thinking abilities.
