Boutique Operations Associate

Reports to: Boutique Manager
Overview Reporting to the Boutique Director, the Boutique Operations Associate is responsible for maintaining the stock inventory in perfect condition, ensuring efficient and logical organization of all stockrooms (product and packaging). This role also involves managing delivery operations, and contributing to the profitability of the boutique by receiving, handling, and helping to manage inventory of merchandise in a timely and organized manner.
Primary responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the boutique's stock inventory, ensuring a flawless and meticulously organized stockroom environment.
- Manage all aspects of the delivery process, from receiving and inspecting shipments to efficiently replenishing the sales floor.
- Conduct rigorous quality control checks to guarantee the conformity of all products, upholding the brand's commitment to excellence.
- Process returns, shop-to-shop transfers, and omnichannel orders with precision and adherence to deadlines.
- Proactively monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal product availability on the sales floor, maximizing sales opportunities and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to address product requests and resolve any inventory-related challenges.
- Maintain accurate stock records through regular cycle counts and meticulous inventory management practices.
- Ensure the stockroom and sales floor displays are consistently organized and visually appealing, reflecting the brand's aesthetic.
- Receive and inspect deliveries from the central warehouse, verifying accuracy and reporting any discrepancies.
- Manage and track stock transfers, ensuring timely and accurate movement of merchandise.
- Organize and process end-of-season returns in accordance with company procedures.
- Participate in team briefings, providing updates on inventory levels and delivery schedules.
- Support team members with stock requests, ensuring prompt and efficient fulfillment.
- Communicate inventory results and consignment updates to the finance team.
- Collaborate with other boutiques to share best practices and address common challenges.
- Assist the Boutique Director in formalizing and updating stock management procedures.
- Provide administrative support related to inventory control, including coordinating deliveries and transfers.
- Ensure compliance with all Richemont's inventory management policies and procedures.
Administration
- Monitor store maintenance needs, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Manage stationery, uniform, and kitchen supply inventory.
- Assist with cash management procedures as needed.
- Adhere to internal audit guidelines.
General Duties
- Uphold all company policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the ALAÏA brand and product knowledge.
- Represent the ALAÏA brand with professionalism and adherence to grooming standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a stock management or retail operations role, preferably within the luxury goods sector.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 20 lbs.
