CVICU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Facility Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Trauma Level One
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: November 17, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2520 - $2580
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
• EMR System: Epic

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• 2-3 years of recent CVICU nursing experience
• Experience in trauma level one hospital setting
• Proficiency in immediate postoperative care for cardiac and vascular surgery patients in the ICU
• Advanced skills in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, arterial lines, spinal drains, ECG interpretation, temporary pacemakers, and vasoactive/inotropic drip titration
• Epic EMR experience required
• Competency test completion within 24 hours of submission

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to high-acuity CVICU patients, including post-cardiac and vascular surgery cases
• Monitor and manage advanced hemodynamic parameters and life-support equipment
• Interpret ECGs and respond promptly to cardiac emergencies
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and inotropic medications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Comply with hospital protocols and dress code (navy blue scrubs)
