Senior Staff Accountant (Media & AdTech) – NYC Hybrid

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, design-forward Digital Media/ AdTech company to hire a Staff Accountant to join their New York City team. This is a hybrid role, working with a sharp minded crew in a modern office.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for an Accountant with 0-2 years of experience; and or CPA-eligible candidates are encouraged to apply. We are looking for someone "ready, willing, and able," EAGER TO LEARN, taking ownership quickly, and growing fast in a creative, tech-driven environment. You’ll get hands-on experience with a high-growth, venture-backed business.

What You’ll Do

• Support monthly and quarterly close, including preparing and posting journal entries.

• Reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts and investigate variances.

• Work directly with finance and sales teams to validate revenue, sales numbers, and related accruals.

• Help maintain and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation as the company scales.

• Assist with audits and support ad hoc analysis and special projects.

• Get deep into systems and data -- pulling reports, manipulating datasets, and building better ways to see the numbers.

What We’re Looking For

• 0 - 2 years of accounting experience (recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, accruals, revenue/expense recognition).

• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools and platforms; prior exposure to modern ERPs or BI tools is a plus.

• Confident in Excel: pivots, lookups, filters, and working with large data sets.

• Curious, coachable, and eager to learn -- someone who asks smart questions and wants to understand the “why” behind the numbers.

• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.

• Strong communicator who can work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and other non-finance partners.
