Senior Accountant / Tax Advisor Location: Suffolk County, NY (Fully On-Site)

Compensation: $85,000 – $125,000 + 401(k) Match & Comprehensive Benefits

The Role at a Glance In this full-time, on-site position, you will manage a diverse portfolio of tax returns (including individuals, corporate, multi-state, and trusts) while serving as a direct consultant to clients. You will have the autonomy to guide clients through complex tax strategies, assist with audit support, and directly impact the firm's continued growth.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience: 3 to 5 years in public accounting.

• Skills: Proven ability to prepare/review complex returns and comfortably present tax strategies face-to-face.

• Tech Stack: Proficiency with QuickBooks and Lacerte is highly preferred.

• Mindset: A proactive, customer-focused communicator who thrives on juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Tax Preparation & Review: Handle a wide variety of returns including individuals, trusts, partnerships, S and C corporations, multi-state corporate taxes, not-for-profits, and foreign entities.
• Client Advisory: Serve as a direct, face-to-face advisor to clients, presenting tax strategies and answers clearly.
• Audit Support: Assist with federal and state tax audits and respond directly to regulatory agency inquiries.
• Compliance: Maintain an up-to-date, proactive understanding of current tax laws and regulations.
• Client Management: Successfully balance and manage a diverse client load with strong communication and customer service skills.
