Recreation Aide
Empro Staffing is committed to providing top-notch support in the healthcare sector, ensuring that patient care environments remain engaging and enriching. We are currently hiring Recreation Aides to assist in facilitating recreational activities for patients, encouraging social interaction, and promoting physical and mental well-being.
As a Recreation Aide, you will play a vital role in helping patients participate in various leisure activities and programs. Your enthusiasm and ability to create a supportive and enjoyable environment will greatly enhance the rehabilitation experience for our patients.
Hourly Rate: $20
Pay Period: Sunday to Saturday
Pay Schedule: Weekly, Every Friday via Direct Deposit
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing recreational programs and activities for individuals and groups.
- Encourage patient participation in activities that promote socialization, physical activity, and mental engagement.
- Provide support and supervision during activities to ensure safety and enjoyment.
- Maintain records of activities and patient participation, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all patients.
- Work collaboratively with nursing and therapeutic staff to tailor activities to meet the needs of patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a recreational role or in a healthcare environment is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate individuals with varying needs and abilities.
- Understanding of the importance of recreational therapy in patient recovery.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for working with people, especially in a healthcare setting.
