General Ledger Accounting Manager
- Oversees the workflow and productivity of General Ledger Accounting Team
- Delegates and prioritizes assignments based on complexity and availability of team resources
- Implements procedural and policy changes to improve departmental workflow
- Develops, enforces, and maintains company accounting policies
- Maintains accuracy and integrity of financial software system and financial statements
- Communicates and interacts with CFO, B&H departments, and external accountants as needed to keep them updated and to resolve issues and problems
- Prepares financial statements for management reporting needs and banking institutions
- Facilitates and manages the external auditing process
- Oversees design and implementation of accounting control processes
- Provides training and guidance to all members of the general ledger accounting team
- As assigned by Director of Accounting
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and internal controls
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and driving operations effeciencies
- Articulate communicator and analytical thinker
- Professional phone demeanor
- Excellent writing skills
- Detail-oriented and quick thinker
- Minimum 5 years managing a team
- Minimum 7 years of general accounting experience
- Utilization of Microsoft Office programs
- BA in Accounting
