Job Title: Payroll Specialist Job Description

Join our team as a Payroll Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in managing payroll operations at our corporate headquarters in Farmingdale, Long Island, NY. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with substantial experience in payroll administration.

• Process new hires using ADP Onboarding.
• Manage employee transactions through ADP Employee Self-service, including terminations, salary changes, direct deposit setup, address changes, and tax withholding updates.
• Understand and process wage garnishments and withholding orders.
• Handle Draw vs. Commission payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws.
• Prepare manual checks and handle direct deposit reversals/deletions.
• Audit payroll reports before submission using ADP Preview.
• Provide excellent customer service to both active and terminated employees.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now Reporting tools efficiently.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• At least 5 years of experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong understanding of multi-state payroll processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with payroll processing in commission-based industries.

• Union payroll experience is a plus.
• Experience working in a drawer vs. commission-based industry, preferably in larger companies with a sales force.

This position requires on-site attendance every day at our corporate headquarters in Farmingdale, Long Island, NY. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of leaving early on Fridays. The role may require longer hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This is a Permanent position based out of Farmingdale, NY.

The pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $77000.00/yr.
