Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $11.35 + $5.65 (tips) = $17.00 minimum per hour
Total Average earnings per hour range = $48.00 - $55.00

Position Summary
As a Server at Gjelina NYC, you play a vital role in delivering outstanding guest experiences. You will serve as the primary point of contact for guests, providing attentive, polished service supported by strong food and beverage knowledge. Success in this role requires excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to stay organized under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, efficient service
• Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, allergens, and pairings
• Provide thoughtful recommendations, including wine and cocktail pairings
• Handle guest interactions with professionalism and poise
• Maintain clean and organized service stations
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Participate in trainings and stay current on menu updates

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume, upscale dining environment
• Experience with progressive wine programs; passion for small producers preferred
• Strong knowledge of classic and craft cocktails
• Hospitality-driven mindset—understanding the difference between service and true leadership
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and sharing knowledge with guests and team members
• Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8–12 hours)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed
• Capable of bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing stairs

Work Environment

• Fast-paced setting with moderate noise levels
• Exposure to varying conditions, including heat, cold, and wet or slippery surfaces
