Nurse Supervisor – Behavioral Health

We are seeking an experienced  Nurse Supervisor with strong Behavioral Health leadership experience to support the Behavioral Health Department, including CPEP, Inpatient, and Outpatient services . This is an excellent opportunity for a nursing leader ready to step into an Associate DON-level support role within a fast-paced acute care environment.

Position Details

• Location: New York, NY 10037
• Department: Behavioral Health Nursing
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 37.5 hours/week
• Contract Duration: Approximately 14 weeks
• Setting: CPEP, Inpatient, and Outpatient Behavioral Health Services

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee nursing operations within Behavioral Health services
• Develop and implement programs to improve patient care and staff performance
• Monitor unit performance and collaborate with nurse managers on corrective action plans
• Maintain systems for medication error tracking, counseling documentation, and compliance reporting
• Support clinical quality initiatives and operational efficiency
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
• Provide leadership support across inpatient, outpatient, and psychiatric emergency services

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License (New York State)
• BLS Certification
• NYSED Primary Source Verification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Associate DON or Director-level leadership experience
• Experience managing Behavioral Health operations across multiple service lines
