Hours of Work:

• A shift (~6am-2:30pm) with overtime (days and weekends) as needed and required.

This position includes significant duties such as:

• Performs mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on building machines and systems including CNC optical equipment.

• Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment and building systems.

• Follows work instructions, job aides, and procedures.

• Monitors and adjusts equipment within the limits of the standard set-up.

• Rigs and installs equipment, furniture, and fixtures.

• Performs tests, measurements, and inspections.

• Enters and processes maintenance purchasing requisitions.

• Actively engages with continuous improvement and cost reduction programs.

• Liaisons with 3rd party vendors and contractors to perform maintenance tasks.

• Communicates effectively and updates/maintains records as required.

• Responsible for housekeeping and autonomous maintenance.

• Trains peers on operations, techniques, and skills.

• Performs other duties as required.

Working Conditions:

Good working conditions. Frequently lifts or moves materials up to 5 pounds. Occasionally lifts or moves materials up to 15 pounds. Rarely lifts or moves materials more than 25 pounds. Minimal exposure to disagreeable elements. Cleanroom environment prevalent. Personal protective equipment required including but not limited to safety shoes, safety glasses, and cleanroom garments (frock, gloves, facemask, etc.).

Required Skills/Experience:

• 2-5 years of machine maintenance experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Experience in precision manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge on Satisloh, OptiPro, QED, Mayer Burger, Haas Mini mills.
• Knowledge on machine shop equipment including Fadal, CNC mills, Bridgeport mills, Hardinge lathes, Haas lathe, horizontal grinders.
• Knowledge on motor and gear box driven optical lapping equipment.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The range for this position is ​$25.00 - $28.00/hour with a $2.00/hour shift differential for hours worked on B Shift. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
