Computer Support Specialist
We're Hiring: Computer Support Specialist
We are seeking a talented and committed Computer Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work within the Center for Data Architecture, Intelligence & Support (DAIS), contributing to COVID-19 response initiatives, supporting data management efforts, providing technical assistance, and delivering staff training to healthcare facilities throughout the state.
Location: Albany, NY
Work Mode: On-site
Duration: 2 years with the possibility of extension or permanent conversion
What You'll Do:
- Support our team's COVID-19 response efforts
- Manage and analyze health care datasets
- Maintain data pipelines and databases
- Provide technical support and staff training
- Coordinate software/hardware installations with ITS
- Assist with special projects
What We're Looking For:
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently and in teams
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with complex databases and fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or Tableau
