Floating Support Staff

Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. was established in 1965 with a mission to combat poverty and improve the quality of life for low-income individuals and families in Steuben and Yates counties. Over the years, the organization has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community. Head Start Floating Support Staff- $16-$16.25/hour

Pro Action’s Head Start is looking for 2 Floating Support Staff 10-month full-time positions for our Head Start locations throughout Steuben and Yates Counties. 

The Support Staff will assist in supporting social and emotional development and providing positive guidance to children, assist in establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment. Work in collaboration with classroom staff to ensure regulations and guidelines are followed.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The ideal candidate will have organizational, communication, and computer skills as well as the ability to interact with customers from a variety of backgrounds.

The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s license, meeting agency standards per position and consistent, reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area.
