Full-Stack Engineer

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing New York-based technology company, for an Entry-Level Full-Stack Engineer to join their product engineering team. This is a fully remote opportunity for a motivated developer who wants to build real production features across the front end and back end while learning from experienced engineers in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Day to day, you will pair with senior engineers to ship features, fix bugs, and write clean, tested code across a modern JavaScript stack. The ideal candidate is curious, eager to learn, comfortable asking questions, and excited to grow their skills in both UI development and backend API work. This role is a great fit for a recent bootcamp or CS graduate who wants hands-on experience building software that real users depend on.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across front-end and back-end codebases
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Collaborate with senior engineers, designers, and product managers on new features
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback
• Debug and resolve reported issues in existing applications
• Help build and consume REST APIs
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests
• Assist with basic database queries and schema updates
• Document code and technical decisions
• Participate in daily standups and sprint planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent bootcamp experience
• Basic proficiency in JavaScript and either React, Vue, or Angular
• Familiarity with Node.js or another backend language or framework
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design
• Exposure to SQL or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative version control workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
