Junior Paralegal

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a global law firm, for a Junior Paralegal to join their team in a fully remote capacity. Day to day, you will juggle document review, legal research, and case file organization while staying closely coordinated with attorneys and senior paralegals across time zones. Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other databases
• Organize and maintain electronic case files and document management systems
• Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and case summaries
• Assist with discovery, including document collection and review
• Track filing deadlines and court dates using case management software
• Coordinate with clients, courts, and outside vendors as needed
• Support trial and deposition preparation
• Cite-check briefs and other legal filings
• Perform administrative tasks to support the legal team

Requirements

• Paralegal certificate or associate degree in paralegal studies preferred
• Bachelor's degree a plus but not required
• Up to 1-2 years of paralegal or legal support experience
• Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems
• Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
