Manual Machinist

Responsibilities

As a Manual Machinist, you won’t just be a part of an assembly line; you will be responsible for creating critical components from start to finish. Your day-to-day will include:

• Setup & Operation: Expertly operating manual lathes and milling machines (Bridgeports or similar) to produce high-quality parts.

• Precision Measurement: Using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to ensure every part meets tight tolerances.

• Blueprint Reading: Interpreting complex technical drawings and engineering specifications to plan your machining sequences.

• Material Management: Working with various metals and alloys, selecting the right tooling, speeds, and feeds for each specific job.

• Maintenance: Keeping your equipment in top shape through routine cleaning and lubrication.

• Problem Solving: Troubleshooting dimensions and finishes to ensure every component integrates perfectly into specialized vacuum systems.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
