Job Description:
The Assistant Accountant will report to the Senior Accountant at the head office in New York City and work with the Controller in New York. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for supporting various aspects of finance and accounting for the Teneo team across USA. This includes but not limited to journal entries, intercompany transactions, accounts reconciliation and accruals. This position will primarily focus on accounts payables (vendors and employees) and bank reconciliation transactions. NetSuite and/or Concur experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for review of all bank transactions and preparation of bank reconciliation
- Enter and allocate corporate American Express
- Allocate expenses to appropriate business division
- Prepare and process monthly entries for amortization of prepaid and depreciation of fixed assets
- Assist on Month – End Financials and account reconciliation
- Prepare client invoices for reimbursable costs
- Prepare analysis of accounts, when needed
- Ensure the confidentiality of financial information
- Provide audit/tax support, when needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 1 years of experience in accounting (inclusive of internships) or recent grads (2025)
- Detail oriented
- Seeks process improvements
- Analytical aptitude, problem solving, self-motivated
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels and functions within the Company
- NetSuite and/or Concur experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to handle demanding assignments, and be able to think on your feet
- Self-starter

Base Salary Range
$60,000 - $65,000 (compensation for this role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience that may fall outside of the range listed).

Flexible Work Policy
Teneo believes in in-person collaboration when possible. Our expectation is for employees to work from our NYC HQ a minimum of three times a week.
