Job Summary
The Controller for Restaurant Associates at Bloomberg is a results-oriented finance role that reports directly to the Regional Director with dotted line responsibility to the Global Finance Partner. You will work closely with Operations and Clients, analyzing and driving results to achieve annual key performance indicators. This role serves as a financial advisor and business partner to their operational counterparts across a global portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the financial planning and analysis function for the region, including the development of sound annual budgets and forecasts linked to operational assumptions, as well as the supporting processes required to measure actual performance against budgets and projections and identify risks and opportunities.
- Improves financial performance by analyzing results, monitoring variances, and identifying trends; providing performance guidelines and recommendations to field operators as appropriate.
- Partners with the operations team to improve the accuracy of weekly flash reports and provide decision support to the operations to drive revenue generation and cost containment.
- Guides and supports the monthly close process, working closely with finance team members and the field accounting team to continually improve it.
- Analyzes and reviews weekly and monthly results, working closely with the operational team to gain insight into financial issues
- Provides client-facing reporting as needed, summarizing financial performance, operational metrics, and economic forecasts.
- Seeks continuous improvement in account profitability by raising the operational team’s financial awareness and financial confidence.
- Ensures sound financial controls throughout the region, assisting with the review and reconciliation of accounts receivable, credit card, and bank transactions
- Handle special projects as needed, including support of field operations and regional initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Experience in food service or similar service industry a plus
- Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with business partners, key team members, senior management, and client groups on various projects and initiatives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in building efficient Excel models to improve productivity & PowerPoint to create client-facing presentations on financial performance. Knowledge of SAP, Anaplan, or Essbase is a plus.
- The individual must possess a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks & priorities, have strong organizational skills, and produce consistently accurate work.

- Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation skills)
