Essential Job Functions
- Oversee Front of house departments and daily restaurant operations
- Uphold company standards of customer service, health and safety regulations, and company policies and procedures
- Cultivate customer relations, answer questions, address complaints, and ensure prompt service and satisfaction.
- Oversee the balancing of cash drawers, record income, and expenditures
- Monitor restaurant supply, food, and beverage inventories, and communicate inventory status to purchasers
- Lead daily pre-shifts meetings, encourage employee feedback, and incentivize service sales
- Foster a communicative and open work environment
- Ensure an organized, smooth and efficient service for guests and staff by being present and proactive on the floor
- Coach staff to converse about menu offerings, product sourcing, and culinary preparation techniques
- Oversee proper management of VIP reservations with the Hauser & Wirth Art Gallery
- Delegate work duties, maintain schedules and employee timecards, and maximize covers
- “Fill in the gaps” when it comes to service
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, which includes the restaurant, loading dock, and all other work premises
- Communicate daily service notes, employee performance, operational or customer service concerns with other managers
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and set-up of events
- Supervise and direct event staff
- Order stock and perform various administrative duties.
- Assist in staff counseling or performance reviews
- Assist with the coordination of staff tours and gallery events
Experience, and License Requirements
- Management experience in a team-oriented workplace preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and develop staff members.
- Exceptional organizational management skills.
- Skills and knowledge in: Excel, Micros, and Outlook
- Food Handler and TIPS/Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
