Construction Project Manager

Highland Consulting Group, a construction specific recruiting firm specializing in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, is working with a well-established General Contractor in the Albany, NY area to find an experienced Project Manager .  This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to manage ground-up and fit-out projects from award to close-out, with minimal travel required, as most projects are within a reasonable commute.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all phases of assigned construction projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure on-time completion.
• Oversee jobsite quality and safety.
• Manage project budgets and approve all related expenses.
• Handle contract administration and purchase orders, reviewing terms and conditions.
• Serve as the primary liaison for project owners and stakeholders.
• Review and approve all construction related documentation.
• Conduct punch-list inspections alongside superintendents and owners.
• Foster strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience managing commercial, industrial and institutional construction projects valued at $10M+.
• Proven ability to develop timelines, manage budgets, and negotiate change orders.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong computer and interpersonal skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required—strong industry experience will be highly considered.

• Anticipated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 annually. As required by local law, Highland Consulting Group believes that the attached salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position.
